career pathways for young people

OWL360 actively works with the community to foster conditions for the success of young people in Jefferson County to enter into, thrive in, and sustain work opportunities that will lead them to meaningful employment and economic independence. We know that when young people are connected, engaged and thriving then everyone in the community prospers!

Young people, unleash

 your career potential!

OWL360's Career Pathways Programs provide opportunities that support young people to learn about and access local career options. We provide support and resources for young people to obtain their dreams.

Earn to Learn

Runs 3X times a year and is open to people ages 17-24 (or so, exceptions can be made on case by base basis) who live in Jefferson County and who want to begin a career pathway towards a living wage and meaningful employment.  This class meets weekly  and requires some independent coursework.  Upon completion of the 45 hour program young people earn a $500 stipend.

Level Up

Is a paid internship program that supports the Earn to Learn graduates to embark on their career pathways by supporting paid internships and pathways into vocational training programs.  Upon the successful completion of 90 hours of career aligned work and/or training young people earn a $1000 stipend.

OWL360 also supports school-based career exploration programs in Jefferson County.
Reach out to the Career Pathways manager for more information or to schedule a guest teacher to work with your high school students.

Open doors program

OWL360 and the Port Townsend School District are partnering on a new Career Pathway program for young people, ages 17-24 (ish), who have not yet completed their high school diplomas.

The new Open Doors program is focused on Career Ready skills and supporting young people to find career pathways that are meaningful and will lead to living wage jobs. It can also be a program to support high school diploma completion (but that is not a requirement).

This program will meet weekly at The Nest. Participants who complete the first 45 hour class will earn a $500 stipend.
